About Siska Lyssens
I’m a creative, editorial, and copy writer with invaluable experience as a seasoned design journalist – an innovative thinker naturally inclined to doing deep research, making relevant cultural connections, and asking the right questions to detangle complex meanings.
In the last 12 years, I’ve crafted content revolving around architecture, art, design, fashion, travel and lifestyle. My work has been published in a wide array of magazines and digital media, from Dazed & Confused and AnOther Magazine to Vogue, the now defunct but seminal Style.com, The Spaces, Bon, Rika Magazine, Business of Fashion, The New York Times’ T Magazine, and Wallpaper*.
As a creative content writer, I’ve collaborated with leading design brands, including Apple, Barefoot Luxury, Bernadette, Christian Wijnants, Eurostar Magazine, Fosbury & Sons, JW Anderson, Komono, Knoll, La Garçonne, Mandarina Duck, Orior, Rosewood Hotels, The Skateroom, Serax, Soho House and Suite 07.
In my work as a journalist, I’ve interviewed countless creatives: Dries van Noten, David Adjaye, Peter Marino, Stéphane Parmentier, Axel Vervoordt, Vincent van Duysen, Xavier Lust, Glenn Sestig, Sabine Marcelis, Étienne Russo, Jan Fabre, Stephen Jones, Angela Missoni, Paola Navone, Walter Van Beirendonck, Quentin Jones, Demna Gvasalia, Joe and Charlie Casely-Hayford, Constantin Brodzki, Luc Tuymans, and others.
I’ve contributed to three coffee-table books: an essay on Belgian fashion for ‘The Belgians: An Unexpected Fashion Story’, a foreword to the photography book ‘Athos Burez: Barok Buraz at MAS Antwerpen’, and long-read interviews with two chefs for ‘Tap to Table’, a culinary book by Grohe.
